Nissan’s awesome R35 GT-R has one of the most advanced transmissions in production today. Being able to regularly maintain and service this incredible machine is vital. With East Coast Customs being the only Dodson Motorsport Authorised Pro dealer in Ireland we really are the one stop shop for all aspects of servicing for your GT-R!
Our investment in the specialist tools and diagnostic equipment required means we are able to maintain Nissan’s extremely high standards without affecting the factory warranty.
Only genuine Nissan parts are used for GT-R servicing and we only use oil that is recommended or exceeds the manufacturers specification.
EU Block Exemption rules state that using genuine parts and investing in the correct diagnostic equipment means that GT-R owners can choose to use an independent specialist without affecting their UK warranty.
Nissan’s recommend service intervals are 6000 miles or every 6 months, which ever arrive first with a main Optimisation service every 12000 miles or 12 months.

What is an Optimisation Service?

Transmission Clutch Setup

 

 

The GT-R’s clutch and transmission requires inspection and adjustment of the clutch and shift forks at the recommended intervals. Depending on driving conditions, more frequent adjustments may be necessary to help maximize vehicle performance. Owners have reported poor shift and transmission performance at low speeds. This alignment procedure will help improve this.

4 Wheel Alignment

 

Nissan suggest that the GT-R’s suspension components require a settling in period and once this is completed the wheel alignment should be measured and adjusted accordingly. We can offer a full adjustment using the latest laser alignment equipment.

 

Engine Setup

 

Each cylinder bank on the GT-R engine operates independently due to the vehicle's twin turbocharged design. Each side of the engine must operate at the same level of performance. The power output of each bank must be checked and adjusted as necessary.
These Optimisation inspections are required at the following intervals:

• 1000 miles

• 12 months

• 24 months

• 36 months
